    Description

    • Pure Aluminum Structural Components Constructed from high-grade pure aluminum rather than standard foundry or steel molds, the primary chassis offers superior oxidation resistance and a lightweight profile. For field contractors, this structural choice reduces worker fatigue during prolonged overhead or trench operations and prevents performance degradation caused by rust, significantly extending the tool's functional lifecycle in high-humidity tropical environments.
    • IC Closed-loop Digital Control System The integration of a high-precision microcomputer chip enables real-time temperature monitoring and precise thermal regulation within a +5°C variance. This thermal stability prevents material degradation from overheating and ensures consistent molecular penetration during the socket fusion process, effectively eliminating the risk of "cold welding" and joint failure in pressurized piping systems.
    • Thickened Aluminum Alloy Heating Plate The heating element utilizes a high-density aluminum alloy plate with increased thickness to enhance thermal inertia and heat distribution. This design ensures that the welding surface maintains a constant temperature even in outdoor environments with ambient temperature fluctuations or wind, reducing project downtime by providing faster preheating and more reliable thermal recovery between welding cycles.
    • Triple-Layer Industrial Grade Teflon Coating Each die head is finished with a high-density, non-stick Teflon coating capable of withstanding continuous temperatures up to 300°C without peeling. This material property facilitates a smooth release of the melted pipe surface, preventing carbonization residues from contaminating the weld and ensuring a clean, high-strength bond that meets international HDPE pipe connection standards.
    • Imported Hydraulic Power Units The system incorporates high-performance imported hydraulic units designed for consistent pressure application throughout the fusion and cooling phases. This high-reliability component minimizes maintenance requirements and operational noise, providing procurement managers with a durable solution that sustains high-frequency usage in large-diameter municipal piping installations (up to 160mm).
    • Real-time Data Traceability and Fault Detection The intelligent diagnostic function automatically detects welding faults and prompts corresponding alarm codes for immediate correction. For project engineers, this enables the verification and archiving of actual welding parameters, providing a verifiable record of construction integrity that simplifies final project acceptance and minimizes long-term liability risks.
    • Electrostatic Spraying Surface Technology The exterior utilizes advanced electrostatic spraying, resulting in a smooth, impact-resistant finish that protects the machine's core from site-related abrasions and chemical exposure. This protective layer ensures the equipment remains functionally intact despite the rigorous handling typical of infrastructure construction sites, protecting the contractor's capital investment.
    • Optimized Pipe Fitting Conversion Plug The improved design of the connection conversion plug minimizes resistance fluctuations caused by poor contact during operation. By stabilizing the actual welding parameters, this structural refinement ensures that the energy output remains consistent with the pre-set engineering requirements, guaranteeing the uniformity of every joint across the entire pipeline network.

    Scope of application

    • Municipal Potable Water Supply NetworksIn municipal engineering, this machine is primarily used for the terminal distribution and branch pipe connection of HDPE pipe and PPR systems. It facilitates the permanent joining of water mains to residential meters, handling ambient temperature fluids under standard municipal pressures. The portable design allows for efficient on-site operation in narrow trenches (ditches) where heavy machinery cannot maneuver, ensuring that the potable water remains uncontaminated by chemical adhesives or mechanical gaskets.
    • Residential and Commercial HVAC SystemsFor building services, the equipment is utilized in the installation of PPR socket fusion piping for hot and cold water circulation and underfloor heating loops (PB/PE-RT pipes). It is specifically suited for connecting manifold headers to individual branch circuits. The high-precision digital control ensures that the fusion temperature remains stable within the required range, which is vital for preventing joint leaks in high-rise plumbing where pressure fluctuations are frequent.
    • Industrial Chemical Processing LinesIn industrial facilities, the machine is employed to weld specialized PVDF and PP piping used for the transport of deionized water, weak acids, and alkaline solutions. Engineering teams rely on the homogeneous fusion bond to resist chemical degradation that would otherwise compromise mechanical seals. The socket fusion method provides a smooth internal bore, reducing turbulence and preventing the accumulation of chemical precipitates within the pipe joints.
    • Agricultural Irrigation and Greenhouse InfrastructureThis socket fusion welder is extensively used in the deployment of large-scale drip irrigation and sprinkler systems involving PE and PP thermoplastic materials. It serves the critical role of connecting secondary lateral lines to main supply headers. Given the high-UV and dusty conditions of field sites, the machine’s electrostatic spraying surface and reinforced structure ensure reliable performance while maintaining the high-flow efficiency required for agricultural water management.
    • Compressed Air Distribution SystemsAs an alternative to traditional metallic piping, many modern factories utilize PPR or HDPE for compressed air distribution. This machine is used to create the airtight joints necessary to prevent energy loss through leakage. The reliable thermal bond created by the hot melt socket fusion process withstands the continuous vibration and pressure cycles of air compressors, offering a corrosion-resistant and lightweight piping solution for manufacturing floors.
    • Rural Drinking Water Safety ProjectsSpecifically designed for decentralized water projects in remote areas, this equipment is used to install long-distance PE supply lines from reservoirs to village distribution points. Its tolerance for varied working voltages (220V±10%) makes it compatible with portable generators used on remote job sites. The robust socket fusion welding machine ensures that even in rough terrain, the pipeline maintains its structural integrity against soil movement and external pressure.

    FAQ

Difference between socket fusion and butt fusion?

Socket fusion joins a pipe and fitting by inserting one into the other, creating an overlapping molecular bond; it is ideal for diameters under 110mm. Butt fusion aligns two pipe ends of the same diameter and presses them together. Socket fusion offers a higher joint surface area, enhancing structural integrity in smaller plumbing systems.

    How does socket fusion work?

The process uses a socket fusion welding machine to heat the pipe's exterior and the fitting's interior simultaneously. Once the thermoplastic material reaches a molten state, the pipe is inserted into the fitting. As they cool, the polymer chains inter-diffuse, creating a single, homogeneous, and leak-proof joint stronger than the pipe itself.

How much gap is allowed in socket weld?

For thermoplastic socket fusion, there is zero gap allowed; the pipe must be fully inserted to the depth mark. In metal socket welding (ASME B31.3), a 1.5mm (1/16") expansion gap is required between the pipe end and socket bottom before welding to prevent stress cracks during thermal expansion.

How to use a Hot melt socket fusion welding machine?

Preheat the machine to 260°C - 280°C. Clean the pipe ends and mark the insertion depth. Simultaneously push the pipe and fitting onto the heated die heads. Hold for the required heating time, then quickly remove and insert the pipe into the fitting without twisting. Hold until the joint solidifies into a permanent bond.
